Physics Teacher (part-time, variable hours 0.5 - 0.7 full time equivalent)
Required from September 2018, to teach small classes of girls in Years 7 to 11
We welcome applications from qualified teachers (QTS) who hold a degree in Science and have taught Science to at least GCSE level for four or five years, with a proven track record of high achievement. This is an ideal opportunity to join a unique environment where your knowledge and ability will make a significant contribution to both the formal and extra-curricular life of the school.
Dodderhill Independent Girls is a school like no other! With smaller classes and a high teacher to pupil ratio, both staff and girls alike have the time and space to really focus in class. The school has outstanding facilities and was rated 'Outstanding' and 'Excellent' in all areas, by both ISI and Ofsted Inspectors in 2017.
At Dodderhill our expectations of pupils, and the expectations of their parents, are high. One of the reasons that parents make the decision to invest in their children’s education here is our small classes. Working with small groups gives our teachers the opportunity to know accurately the capabilities of each child in their class and so learning is personalised to the individual.
Our parents are very interested in their children’s education and will work with you to make sure that their child receives all the support and encouragement they need.
Our parents particularly value the emphasis we place on good manners and behaviour. The level of pastoral care our pupils receive means that many of our parents think of Dodderhill as a second family.
You will be joining a warm, friendly and committed team, who will help you to settle into school life quickly.
The salary will be in accordance with Dodderhill's pay scale for Teachers, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Other benefits include free on-site car-parking, free lunch, Teachers' Pension scheme, Simply Health scheme and staff discount on school fees.

Dodderhill School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
