We are currently seeking to appoint a Physics Technician. The Physics department is extremely well resourced, with seven dedicated laboratories in the Aske Building, a purpose-built science building.

Working alongside another technician dedicated to physics and reporting to the Head of Physics, responsible for the organisation of the laboratories and associated ancillary rooms and the storage, maintenance and issue of the department's equipment, glassware, materials and chemicals.

A varied and busy role you will ideally have experience working in a laboratory science department and a technical appreciation of the laboratory setting as a workplace. With a minimum of five GCSE’s (or equivalent) including mathematics, English and science, you will possess good ICT skills and the potential of ICT in science teaching.
