Physics Technician (Maternity Cover)

Required for September/October 2017

36 hours per week, full-time

This post will be covering a maternity absence which may run for one year in the first instance. The post holder will be supporting work in the laboratories of a thriving A level Physics department. Students are able and enthusiastic and many go on to study for physics related degrees. In addition to teaching the AQA A specification, the department runs many popular extra-curricular activities and events. The maternity leave will commence towards the end of October, but an earlier September start can be negotiated for less experienced candidates to facilitate a longer handover period.

The salary will be in the range of £16,532 – £17,946 gross per annum, plus £2,505 London Weighting, which is Point 17 – 21 on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff salary spine.
