Head Teacher: Tracy Millard

Description:

Are you passionate to deliver and education students who have profound and multiple learning difficulties/complex needs.

Can you make a significant, positive impact on the lives of our students?  Can you lead the drive to further improve standards across our school that is so crucial to the success of this group of students? If you answered yes to these questions then this could be the ideal job for you.

Our ethos is aspirational and inclusive, our staff is highly motivated, our students courteous and hard-working and our facilities excellent. Joining St Hugh’s School is a unique opportunity to work in a growing school that gives excellent possibilities for professional and career development.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and inspirational teacher with the experience of teaching pupils with profound and multiple difficulties who want to make a difference to the lives of our young people.  Our departments work collaboratively to deliver an innovative curriculum that motivates and stretches students to achieve their best possible outcomes.  The role will play to your strengths and provide ample challenge. We have a developed therapeutic and nursing provision embedded in our daily practice.

Candidates must have an understanding of the developmental learning needs of children. Experience of working in a special school is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a colleague to extend their continuous professional development working across school and develop skills in special education.

St. Hugh’s School is a well-resourced, purpose built school for students aged 11 to 19 years with moderate/severe learning difficulties/profound and multiple learning needs, many of whom have additional needs, ASD and complex medical needs. We are an outstanding school as inspected by Ofsted September 2018.

For informal discussions, please phone Tracy Millard, Head Teacher on 01724 842960 or email tracy.millard@northlincs.gov.uk. Visits to school before shortlisting are welcome.
