Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. Wilson Stuart School is an Ofsted designated outstanding all age (2 – 25 years) Special School which provides very high-quality education for 268 pupils and young people who have physical disabilities, and/or complex medical conditions. Queensbury School provides for 245 students who have MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health). Mayfield School educates children and young people, who have a range of learning difficulties, between the ages of 3 and 19 and have approximately 300 students on roll.

About this Role:

We require an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed specialist Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) teacher to be part of our team. The teacher will have responsibility for a tutor group and will provide a sensory programme, integrating the physical, academic, social and emotional needs of individual students. Experience from a Primary background would be beneficial although not essential, we actively promote experimentation and new ideas.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of pupils within our School.
  • The ability to support the raising of standards for these pupils through curriculum development
  • The ability to keep accurate records and use data from these records to analyse trends and improve quality of teaching
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
