Job overview

We are seeking a dedicated Porter / Cleaner to join our Services Department at Sherborne Boys. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain high standards of internal and external cleaning, including deep cleans.
• Support the setup and takedown of school events.
• Assist with the movement of furniture and equipment.
• Manage waste and contribute to the overall safety and presentation of school facilities.

You will be part of a motivated, flexible, and customer-focused team within the Services Department, which also oversees the organisation and smooth delivery of all external and commercial events held within the Sherborne Schools Group.

Sherborne is a boys’ independent school situated in the shadow of Sherborne Abbey. Founded by Royal Charter in 1550, the school has roots going back to the origins of the See of Sherborne in 705. There are eight boarding houses accommodating a total of about 550 boys (aged 13-18).
