Porter

We are creating a new Porter team to undertake a wide range of general porter duties, security, cleaning duties across all school sites, setting up school events, ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors. 

You will be the first point of contact out of hours, responsible for security of the site outside of school hours and act as the first responder to fire alarms supporting the boarding house teams.

The successful candidate will:

- Need to be proactive

- An excellent communicator and team player

- Have great customer service skills, with a positive and professional attitude

- Have a full driving licence

- Have a good level of practical DIY skills

This is a physically demanding role whereby you will be required to be lifting tables, chairs and other equipment associated with banqueting, events and undertake some domestic duties including carpet cleaning and light domestic repairs.

You will be working on a seven-week rota, working a pattern of early, late and night shifts with an average of 34 hours per week, with four weekends off in the seven-week period.
