Queensmead is an ‘outstanding’, oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school where students achieve highly and display ‘exemplary behaviour’ (Ofsted).
Queensmead is looking for a person to work as a Post 16 Academic Mentor. The successful candidate will contribute and develop high quality academic mentoring within Post 16 and monitor and evaluate its impact in the learning community.
They will inspire, challenge and motivate students and ensure a healthy, safe, happy and challenging environment in which Post 16 students can work hard and achieve their potential.
The postholder will work closely with subject teachers and the Heads of Year 12 and 13 to maximise the effectiveness of the students’ private study sessions.
This is a fixed term position until 31st August 2019 and will be reviewed at the end of this period.
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm with 30 minutes unpaid break
37.5 hours per week / 38 weeks per annum
Staff will also benefit from free membership of the Fitness Zone at Queensmead Sports Centre.
