Job overview

We are a Tower Hamlets based Alternative Provision Free School, graded 'Outstanding' in ALL areas by Ofsted; working to transform the lives of young people aged 14-19, unable to thrive within mainstream education.

We are looking to appoint a Post-16 Maths Tutor to join our school. Our ideal candidate will be an inspirational teacher who is able to motivate students who may not have previously enjoyed maths education and/or who start with limited prior attainment.

We deliver a range of different maths qualifications due to the varied characteristics of our learners, and therefore we are looking for someone who has taught either GCSE, Functional Skills or both and would be interested in teaching both.

Classes are small and tutors have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of often very vulnerable young people.

City Gateway Alternative Provision is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A DBS enhanced disclosure that is satisfactory to us will be a condition of appointment.

Closing date: 02 December 2016 at 12.00 noon.

All completed application forms must be emailed to hr.recruitment@citygatewayap.or.uk by the closing date.

Please note that we will not be accepting CV’s.
