Job overview

A busy school in the Weoley Castle/Northfield area of Birmingham are recruiting for a part time PPA teacher to join their team on a temporary 0.4 contract. The position will be covering KS2 PPA session on a Wednesday and Thursday, starting as soon as possible.

The school itself is a rapidly improving school which aims to cater for children from all different backgrounds by embracing all communities, cultures and backgrounds. The school is overseen by a passionate Head who is involved with every aspect of the school and has a dedicated team who work well together to maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

The successful candidate must:

- Hold valid QTS

- Work well as part of a team by having strong communication skills and attention to detail

- Have excellent classroom management skills

- Demonstrate up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum

- Be a passionate and engaging individual 

- Show devotion towards pupil development


Only candidates who are available to commit to this role until July 2020 will be considered; the days worked will be Wednesday and Thursday.

Requirements

All staff must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure which must also be registered to the Update Service (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
