Practical Instructor – Plumbing and Gas Full Time – 37 hours per week (one evening required 6-9pm) £21,926 – £23,957 per annum 30 days holiday + bank holidays  Auto enrolment into the local government pension scheme

You will provide support to Lecturers by tracking and assessing students’ progress, you will help maintain student portfolios to the required standard for their qualification and provide feedback and guidance to support and reinforce their learning. In addition to this, you will prepare materials, tools and equipment, workplaces and workstations and ensure that agreed Health & Safety and environmental practices are implemented and adhered to.

You will also work across both level 2 and 3 practical areas covering everything from cutting, soldering and bending pipes to complex heating and cold water systems.

A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills is required, it will be desirable for you to hold a Level 2 Plumbing qualification or have equivalent experience within Plumbing and Gas. You will be expected to teach functional skills in Maths and English in line with the Practical Instructor role.

Assessor/verifiers awards would also be desirable but no essential, applicants from candidates within industry and no teaching experience will be considered.
