Twickenham Preparatory School (TPS) is an independent, coeducational, day school for children aged 4 - 13, situated in South West London. TPS has a reputation for being nurturing and pastorally strong with high academic standards and a broad curriculum.
Entry into the School is non selective at 4+ and our Reception pupils settle extremely well in our nurturing, happy environment where they feel safe, secure, ready to learn and achieve their potential.
Our Pre-Prep is housed in a spacious, light-filled purpose-built building and is home to our youngest pupils, aged 4 – 7. The curriculum is based on EYFS and the National Curriculum, and from Reception there is specialist teaching of Music, Computing, French, PE and Games, Library and thinking skills ensuring a balanced educational experience.
Each classroom is enhanced by its own dedicated outdoor space. The children enjoy the Pre-Prep nature trail and benefit from a large and well equipped playground for playtime.
Our classes are of mixed ability and teachers are ably supported by experienced teaching assistants. Our staff work collaboratively to share their knowledge and skills in developing lesson plans and best practice. The Pre-Prep team are supportive and caring, ensuring that the children have the best possible start to their education.
We work closely with the Prep Department to ensure that policy and practice is consistent across the School and builds on each child’s individual progress.
Our parents are very supportive of the School and we value the contribution made by our Parents Committee and their active support for school initiatives.
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and enthusiastic Pre-Prep Class Teacher with a passion for working with children. Working within a talented and supportive team the successful candidate will be an experienced class teacher with strong organisational and communication skills; who can motivate learning in a stimulating, effective and caring way.
This is a permanent position with full-time or part-time hours considered (4 or 5 days).
