Cumnor House Sussex is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Pre-Prep Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational journey of young learners and to work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

 

Desirable Personal Qualities and Experience:

  •  Qualified Teacher Status, with outstanding skills and the ability to inspire, encourage and nurture children in your care;
  • EYFS experience and expertise, with a working knowledge of this age group;
  • Confidence in communicating with parents, colleagues and children; this includes excellent writing skills and a calm, courteous and approachable manner at all times;
  • Skill in planning interesting and engaging lessons, and in managing a wide variety of abilities;
  • Professional appearance, practical and creative mentality, and warm, caring manner;
  • Secure knowledge of ICT including information systems (e.g. iSAMS), spreadsheets, all MS Office applications and other essential tools for teaching and lesson planning;
  • Creative and adaptable approach to teaching and learning;
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with full regard to the ethos of the School and the Curriculum;
  • Excellent collaboration skills, flexibility, good humour and empathy;
  • Commitment to participating fully in Pre-Prep life, including evening Parents’ Evenings and events, INSET, planning meetings and report writing;

Interviews of selected applicants will be held the following week, with a view to a decision being made by 14th June 2024, and would involve a visit to the School.
