Salary: Grade 8, Point 19-24 (£25,654.03 - £28,451.45) Actual Salary

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time plus 5 days)


We currently have a vacancy for a passionate, creative Pre-School Leader who thrives on supporting pre-school children reach their potential at The Bluecoat School. You will work under the direction of the Headteacher, to enable access to learning for pre-school children ensuring the national standard for childcare is met.

                                                                                                                                       

The Opportunity

  • Join a friendly, support team to provide high-quality education and care for preschool children.
  • Provide a safe, inclusive setting for our children.
  • Supervise staff daily to monitor the quality of teaching.
  • Responsible for the curriculum planning and monitoring the effectiveness.


The ideal candidate

  • Holds an NVQ/Level 3 in childcare of equivalent qualification.
  • English and Maths GCE at Grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Early Years setting
  • Understands how children learn.
  • Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, colleagues and third parties.
