Wallington Primary Academy is looking for a friendly and reliable person with a hands-on approach and a 'can do' attitude who can help us maintain and develop our premises to the highest possible standard. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and dedicated person with suitable experience.
Previous experience of small DIY jobs and repairs and any previous experience or knowledge of basic building repair and maintenance would be advantageous.
The candidate must also be willing to develop their skills and take on additional responsibility, in time, with all necessary training provided.
Working with the Senior Academy Premises Manager, the role will involve ensuring that the school meets Health & Safety standards and is welcoming, clean, well maintained, safe and secure at all times.
You must be hardworking, focussed and willing to be flexible with hours and tasks.
This is a full time post – 36 Hours per week. The school is open from 7:00am to 18:30 with occasional lettings in the evening and some weekends for which overtime will be paid. You will normally work 7 to 7.5 hours per day. The actual hours will be agreed with the successful candidate. The hours maybe over a split shift on some days.
Wallington Primary Academy has 330 pupils, aged 3 to 11, which includes a Nursery and Special Educational Needs Base. We value the importance of continuing professional development and encourage our staff to continue to develop and learn new skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of premises duties connected with the fabric and grounds of the school. This person will be conscientious, dynamic and work well as part of a team.
