Premises Assistant

Wallington Primary Academy is looking for a friendly and reliable person with a hands-on approach and a 'can do' attitude who can help us maintain and develop our premises to the highest possible standard. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and dedicated person with suitable experience.

Previous experience of small DIY jobs and repairs and any previous experience or knowledge of basic building repair and maintenance would be advantageous.

The candidate must also be willing to develop their skills and take on additional responsibility, in time, with all necessary training provided.

Working with the Trust Premises Manager, the role will involve ensuring that the school meets Health & Safety standards and is welcoming, clean, well maintained, safe and secure at all times.

You must be hardworking, focussed and willing to be flexible with hours and tasks.

This is a part time post – 24 hours per week Term time plus 4 weeks. The school is open from 6:30am to 18:30 with occasional lettings in the evening and some weekends for which overtime will be paid. You will normally work between 4 – 5 hours per day, the daily working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Salary: NJC 1C/3, scale points 2 to 6 FTE £21,030-£22,587
Pro rata : £12,921.58


Wallington Primary Academy has 330 pupils, aged 3 to 11, which includes a Nursery and Special Educational Needs Base. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of premises duties connected with the fabric and grounds of the school. This person will be conscientious, dynamic and work well as part of a team.
