Job overview

Operating across a dual-site layout with a Premises Manager, the Full-Time School Caretaker serves as the primary "on-the-ground" force for physical maintenance, site security, and environmental safety at The Pavilion Study Centre sites.

This hands-on, highly operational role ensures that both campuses remain safe, welcoming, and fully compliant with daily health and safety routines, freeing up the Premises Manager to focus on strategic asset management, compliance paperwork, and contractor procurement.

Whetstone campus serves as a flagship base for The Pavilion Study Centre in Barnet. Following a major redevelopment, the site features modern, purpose-built spaces including advanced science labs, art and technology workshops, a dedicated IT suite, music and drama areas, and exceptional sports facilities. Designed to replace feelings of rejection with an immediate sense of hope and value, the Whetstone branch provides a safe, inspiring environment where vulnerable young people who cannot thrive in mainstream education can rebuild their confidence, re-engage with learning, and unlock their full potential.

To apply, please complete the application form and a supporting statement (no more than two sides of A4) explaining how you meet the person specification, and return it to hr@the-pavilion.co.uk
