We are now looking for a Premises Manager to work under the direction of the Director of Facilites & Estates. The Premises Manger will be responsible for the smooth running of the school site and its buildings.
This is an exciting time to join our committed community of staff who are striving to create a centre of outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be entrusted to maintain positive relationships with staff, students, contractors, suppliers, hirers and the general public.
The Key Tasks of the role will be: -
· Managing the maintenance and upkeep of premises, including buildings, fixtures, fittings and furniture.
· Undertake inspections to ensure necessary safe operation and that the legislative requirements are met regarding powered equipment, machinery, chemicals, ladders, etc.
· Schedule, prioritise and supervise the work of the premises staff any other members of staff employed within his/her area of responsibility, as well as external contractors as required.
· To continuously update the maintenance, Health & Safety and asset systems to support the Trust’s Facilities strategy.
· To play an active role in the Academy’s First Aid and Health & Safety processes, including delivering First Aid to students and staff as required.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work constructively as part of a team and will have a good understanding of Facilities roles and responsibilities, previous experience in the education sector would be useful.
They will have excellent organisational and communication skills and experience in premises management, along with knowledge of corresponding health and safety issues.
Whilst not essential, a clean driving licence is desirable.
