Job overview

Ealing Alternative Provision is a school that works with children and young people who have found themselves unable to access mainstream education, usually as a result of their previous school placement having broken down, whether through ill-health, behaviour issues or other difficulties.

We are committed to consistently meeting the unique needs of our students and their families, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and empowered to grow. Our values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility are embedded in all aspects of the work we do providing our students with the tools they need to face the challenges of school life and life in the adult world.

We are currently looking for a Premises Manager to join our dedicated team.

About the role

The Premises Manager plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school, ensuring that the site operates safely and effectively at all times.

You will be responsible for site compliance, managing the maintenance of school buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs, porterage, managing site security and overseeing on-site contractors, ensuring facilities are fit for purpose and ready to support teaching and learning.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience in premises, facilities, or building management, with a strong understanding of health and safety procedures and site security. You will be practical, organised, and proactive, able to carry out general repairs, safely move equipment, and follow instructions relating to equipment and materials.

Why Join us

You will be joining a dedicated and friendly team who are passionate about making a difference. In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer ongoing development opportunities and a supportive work culture.

Safer Recruitment

EAP is committed to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

In line with KCSIE 2024 and safer recruitment practices, we will conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates. The online search is part of our safeguarding checks and will seek publicly available information on candidates suitability to work with children. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with further guidance and will be asked to clarify their online presence.
