The Governors of St Nicholas Catholic High School wish to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Premises Manager. The role who will have responsibility for leading the site team effectively in premises improvements, site security, health and safety compliance and maintaining high standards of cleaning and maintenance across the school premises and grounds. The successful candidate will ideally be skilled in a specific trade or buildings maintenance in general, have knowledge of current legislation and best practise relating to site safety and premises management. Experience of leading and managing both in house staff and contractors in a facilities management role is required, within a school site would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to the role and be willing to carry out a wide variety of tasks to meet the operational needs and demands of a busy high school environment, demonstrating personal drive to plan and complete tasks to the required timescales and quality standards. The role will also be required to provide leadership and guidance to senior staff on planning and budgeting premises related improvements. They must be able to work as part of a team and possess good interpersonal skills when dealing with various school stakeholders including students, the general public, parents/carers and staff. A full valid driving licence is also an essential requirement.

St Nicholas Catholic High School is a mixed catholic secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Northwich, Cheshire, and caters for approximately 1,250 pupils.
The school opened as a secondary modern in 1965, becoming a comprehensive school in 1972. It is a voluntary-aided school.
