Job overview

We are a popular one-form entry school in the heart of a supportive community, with well-behaved, inspired children and friendly, hardworking staff.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic Premises Manager to join us from April 2026, on a permanent basis.

This role involves taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and upkeep of our school site, ensuring our children, staff and visitors enjoy a safe, clean and well-maintained environment. You’ll carry out routine maintenance and repairs, oversee contractors and play a key role in health & safety and emergency planning. There will also be an element of cleaning involved.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. Experience in a similar premises or facilities role is desirable.

You will join our committed team where you will play a significant and highly valued role in our supportive and friendly environment.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and highly recommended.

Please email sao@thorntree.greenwich.sch.uk to arrange a visit and/or to request an application pack.

Thorntree values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We therefore encourage applications from all sections of the community.
