Stopsley High School is a modern, aspirational school that believes in the importance of unlocking each student’s potential. We achieve this by ensuring every student has the opportunity to grow and develop both inside and outside of the classroom.
Through a strong academic curriculum, high quality teaching and our contemporary facilities and resources, students are encouraged to aim high and dream big, developing strong aspirations and a lasting love of learning.
Whilst academia remains at the heart of our student experience, we never underestimate the importance of sports, creative arts and the incredible enrichment these subjects can bring. They allow our students to pursue personal interests as well as help them in developing key life skills needed for the future.
Our enrichment offer includes a wide range of opportunities: from extra-curricular clubs, Duke of Edinburgh, music and cheerleading, debate club, chess club national and international trips to workshops and including collaboration with The Brilliant Club, Eton College and Wadham College. Students also have the chance to shape the decision making of their own school and develop leadership skills through initiatives such as the student voice as well as the plethora of student leadership opportunities offered by all our curriculum areas.
We want our students to leave Stopsley as individuals who are confident, courageous and prepared to make informed decisions about their futures in further education, training and employment. From Year 7 onwards, through our careers programme, students will benefit from access to top universities, external speakers and businesses, taster days, work experience and a wide range of workshops and conferences.
