About St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Located in Greenwich, London, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school. With around 200 pupils aged 4-11, it is smaller than the average school of its type, and draws its student intake from an extremely economically and culturally diverse area. A voluntary-aided school founded in the Catholic tradition, the school is located a stone’s throw from the River Thames and Greenwich Park.

Head of School

Mrs Jacki Keogh

Values and Vision

St Joseph’s draws much of its ethos from its Christian foundation. To this end, the school works hard to encourage students to feel a sense of community around the school, and to respect their peers. Taking great pride in its cultural diversity, the school also seeks to encourage students to be tolerant of all faiths and belief systems, as well as pushing them to work hard in their studies and show self-discipline and perseverance. The school works hard to meet and recognise the individual needs of every child, being as they are made in God’s image.

St Joseph's is a special place where we Learn Together and Grow in God's Love.

Aspiration - Compassion - Community - Faith - Respect - Responsibility

“Pupils achieve well and make good progress from their starting points. The school’s test results have improved over the last two years from being below average to significantly above average. Pupils are encouraged to read widely and regularly. Teaching and learning are good and some teaching is outstanding. Pupils are mostly provided with the right level of challenge.”
