Oaklands is an excellent special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils aged 11 – 19, have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism.
Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; we are currently working towards expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow on Gresham Road (close to Osterley Tube Station) for September 2018. The schools will be based on two sites and will consist of the current secondary school (High Oaks) along with a new primary school (New Oaks) and an independent post 19 college (Great Oaks) opening September 2018.
We are looking to appoint various premises team members to help with the maintenance and smooth running of our new school building:
Grounds maintenance:
Including, weeding, pruning, planting, watering, leaf clearance and litter collection.
2 hours daily (10 hours per week).
Actual Salary £4527 per annum
Hours to be agreed to coordinate with other team members but likely to be mid afternoon.
Traffic Supervision:
For student arrival and departure directing vehicles to drop off zones and parking spaces ensuring those using the parking areas can do so safely.
3 hours daily (15 hours per week)
Actual Salary £6791 per annum 8.45am to 10.15am plus 2.45pm to 4.15pm – Split shift.

Oaklands is an ‘outstanding’ special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism aged 4-19. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). Upon completing their apprenticeship, our staff will gain a level 3 qualification.
