Job overview

We are seeking an inspirational and motivated Teacher of PE and Games to join our Prep School. This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed Prep School team, teaching across the full age range from Reception to Prep 6.

Girls at Badminton Prep receive swimming, PE and Games lessons every week as timetabled lessons. In games, the girls will learn hockey, netball and cricket – the successful candidate will be expected to deliver lessons and motivate girls to achieve their full potential in each of the three sports. In PE lessons, the pupils are taught Gymnastics, HRF, Athletics and Tennis. Physical Education and Games are very important at Badminton Prep and we are looking for a teacher who can inspire girls to achieve well in the subject and to enjoy being physically active.

Our Prep School sits at the heart of Badminton and is housed in one building on a shared campus, allowing us to utilise many of the school facilities such as the Sports Centre, swimming pool and full-size astro pitch. Pupils are taught by inspirational and caring teachers how create a warm and family feel to the school. The Prep School has a passionate community feel and is a supportive and happy place to work.

Hours: This post is offered as a full-time permanent position.

Salary: Badminton operates its own pay scale. Staff joining Badminton School are assimilated on to the Badminton Scale at a point appropriate to their qualifications and experience and the post to which they are appointed.

The school offers membership of a competitive contributory pension scheme which includes employer contributions of 18.11%, income protection and death in service benefit of 3 times salary.

Additional Benefits: Free onsite parking, free meals, pension membership, use of the school gym and heated swimming pool (at designated times) and access to free fitness classes are all included.
