Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our school as a Prep Supervisor. This role will be based in the school library, overseeing the day-to-day running of supervised study sessions for all students; this involves supervising and assisting students from year 4 to year 8 across the curriculum.
The role will involve guiding and supporting children to help them achieve, focus and fulfil lesson requirements and prep needs. This will be done by ensuring the effective use of resources available, assisting pupils in navigating preps and deadlines, assisting pupils to locate, retrieve, evaluate, and present information, and assisting pupils with general ICT matters and issues. The role may also involve working with academic staff at the school to support individual learners’ needs in line with information provided by the SEN team and class teachers.
Bedales School is a unique educational establishment, set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Our aim is to create an environment where questioning, divergent thinking and freedom to learn from mistakes are all encouraged. Central to our success is the sense that each person is a member of our community whose voice is entitled to be heard and treated with respect. Both our staff and students expect of each other the best kind of relationships – co-operative, authentic and trustful.
