This Outstanding special school caters for pupils aged 5 – 19 who have complex learning difficulties. Many of our pupils also have communication difficulties and SEMH needs.

The successful applicant will be a strong member of the school’s Leadership Team, leading from the front and influencing at Provision and whole school level. You will share our commitment to know and nurture each learner to reach their potential and prepare them successfully for adulthood. This is seen through a united shared vision and unwavering ambition to provide every opportunity – academic, socially and pastorally, for our learners to develop the skills they need to succeed in their future lives.

You will be very effective in carrying out rigorous self-evaluations of the provision and continue to build upon the school’s high expectations and aspirational ethos of “All different, All equal, All important”.

Our new Leader will have the skills and expertise to shape the future direction of our very successful provision even further. As an outstanding practitioner, you will also need the leadership skills to motivate, inspire and empower your team of experienced and dedicated professionals to follow your lead.

If you are ready to step up to this exciting challenge for the ‘Preparation for Adulthood’ provision’s continuing success, we would like to hear from you.

We look forward to hearing from you if you are:

  • An excellent practitioner, able to set and achieve high standards and expectations of learning and teaching through strong leadership
  • Have an up to date and thorough understanding of Post 16 provisions, including curriculum, work related opportunities and destinations, Awards, Qualifications and routes into Further Education
  • Highly motivated and a team player with drive and vision who can continue to develop networks, partnerships and productive collaborations with the local and wider school community
  • An exemplary leader, team builder and communicator with good interpersonal skills

In return we can offer:

  • A school which values and invests in all our staff by providing a range of bespoke CPD opportunities to enable you to meet all our pupil needs
  • A well-resourced and enjoyable working environment
  • A supportive and collaborative leadership team who welcome new ideas
  • A school committed to raising standards which has children and young people at the heart of our maxim “All different, All equal, All important”
