Applications are invited for a position of Class/Homeroom Teacher in Japan’s first International Boarding Preparatory (Elementary) School. Initially, this will be for Grade 2 (UK Year 3). The starting date is September 2024.

Jinseki International School (jinis.jp/en) opened in April 2020 and is an International Preparatory (or Junior) School offering a high-quality education based on the Japanese National Curriculum and the IPC, as well as other international approaches to teaching and learning.

Jinseki International School provides a bilingual environment by teaching in Japanese and English. The Class/Homeroom Teacher position (a role shared with a Japanese colleague) offers a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who believes in the power of boarding to deliver a well-rounded education, particularly in the Preparatory (Elementary) School environment. The successful candidate will also be excited by how the school may offer something unique, helping to develop the very concept of what an excellent education should provide, with the determination to achieve the best for every child within the school community in line with the school’s ethos.

Jinseki particularly welcomes applications from teachers: 

• accustomed to delivering a curriculum to EFL pupils
• with a commitment to and experience of boarding school life
• with international experience (especially although not exclusively in Asia).

A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered including free accommodation and relocation expenses as well as Japanese health insurance and pension. Applicants should note that they will be expected to undertake a limited amount of boarding duties. The initial (renewable)  contract will be for two years
