Green Hills Academy, a family of four Schools on a large campus in Kigali, is seeking a Science Teacher for its Preparatory School, who would also teach Chemistry in the Secondary School. The Preparatory School offers standard upper Primary and Junior High School curriculum courses to students in Grades 5-8 students, some 500 in all. The Secondary School offers the Cambridge IGCSE Program to its Grades 9 and 10 students and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to its Grades 11 and 12 students, some 355 in all. The medium of instruction in the School is English, though French and German are also offered. Green Hills Academy is well known for its Rwandan culture and language classes.

The successful candidate will have successfully completed a Bachelors of Education degree and have a valid Teaching Certificate. Experience teaching Science at the Junior High / Prep School level and Chemistry at the Secondary School level is an asset, as is teaching in an international setting.

The position is available beginning on January 9, 2017, with a deadline for receiving applications of October 27, 2016.  Interviews will be held soon after the deadline.  Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews.  The successful candidate will be eligible for consideration of subsidized housing, a competitive salary, return air tickets and full medical coverage.
