The Linking Network supports schools and communities to develop a positive, cohesive ethos by helping children, young people and adults to explore identity, celebrate diversity, promote community and champion equality.

This is an exciting and creative opportunity for a primary teacher who will be well supported by the existing teams at The Linking Network and My Home Life. The successful applicant will become part of a dynamic and nurturing team who are seeking to work together to make a difference.

The Linking Network supports schools and local authorities to create high quality links between schools and communities and to support work on Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural (SMSC) development that can form a lever for positive whole school change. We do this by providing training, classroom resources and guidance.

We are a small team that achieves big things. Working for The Linking Network requires taking on substantial responsibility, being versatile, dependable and innovative in a dynamic, supportive environment.

The Co-ordinating Intergenerational Linking role (0.6) will lead on the new Intergenerational Linking Programme in partnership with My Home Life England.  The post holder will have particular responsibility for leading the programme to connect primary schools and youth organisations with their local care homes, ultimately across 24 neighbourhoods in England.  This is a very exciting and very creative role that will develop school’s community engagement and young people’s active citizenship and social action and their social skills and leadership, as well as make a real difference to older people in care homes. The post holder will work in partnership with a colleague from My Home Life who will bring expertise in working with care homes.

The Developing Active Citizenship/Social Action in Primary Schools Linking role (0.4) will lead work alongside the TLN team to embed Active Citizenship and Social Action into the TLN Primary School Linking Programme. This is a very exciting and creative role and will involve connecting with partners and creating resources for use by the Network of Primary Linking Schools across the country.
