Broadlands Academy is an 11-16 learning community and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust family of schools. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. For every student who attends our Academy, we aim to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and promote a life-long love of learning. We are situated in extensive grounds and ideally located between Bath and Bristol. We benefit from a number of links with the local community and have an excellent reputation. 

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to lead and coordinate our Primary Alternative Provision team (Endeavour).  The Primary Alternative Provision for Bath and North East Somerset supports students who are not able to attend mainstream primary due to behavioural issues.  The primary purpose of this post is to lead on the personal and academic progress of all of the students at the Endeavour Primary Alternative Provision.

Some of the duties of the role include:

  • To ensure that the appropriate safeguarding measures are applied to all students and staff, in line with the Academy policy.
  • To ensure that all attendance and progress monitoring is undertaken correctly across the Primary Alternative Provision and that the information is monitored, shared and evaluated with the necessary stake holders.
  • To manage the involvement of the plan with the necessary panel groups.
  • To ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, including AET, Local Authority, panels, parents and other schools.
  • To ensure behaviour is managed, in line with the Academy policy and procedures.
  • To ensure the smooth and effective running of the Primary Alternative Provision and to explore ways that it can be further developed.
  • To focus and ensure that all students are able to return to mainstream education and that the reintegration process is managed and supported by the Primary Alternative Provision.
