The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the community, to take responsibility for coordinating and delivering a wide range of extended activities to both our students and wider community as a whole.  The post holder will also be responsible for developing and leading on-going activities with our partner primary schools as part of the Academy’s transition programme.


What we’re looking for

We are seeking someone who is dedicated to the community and who is keen to encourage and motivate both children and adults to get involved in a wide range of sporting/health related activities.  Possessing either a dance/drama qualification and/or a sports coaching certificate, suitable candidates will be experienced in working with young people.  They will be self-motivated, organised and flexible with their working hours; having availability to work during occasional weekends/evenings when required in order to deliver a sporting, health related or other dance/drama type course to the community.


The School

Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have expanded further with a £10 million project, which concluded in October 2018. Rated by Ofsted in April 2015 as a good school, with many outstanding features, we are now embarking on the next stage of our journey to outstanding and are looking for exceptional and inspiring individuals to help us achieve this ambition.
