Primary Arabic A Learning Support Assistant

The English College, Dubai, seeks a positive, reflective and inspiring Arabic A LSA to work in the Primary School for a January 2022 start. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and high expectations of all staff and students. They will be open and willing to learn; they will be expected to engage in professional learning with the mindset that everyone can always improve. We are seeking a professional who is passionate about encouraging students to grow and develop holistically - academically, emotionally, physically and socially. 

The successful candidate will support the Arabic A teacher in the primary school to raise the students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. They will work with identified groups of students to enable them to make more progress. The successful candidate will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be prepared to carry out any reasonable request from the Head of Arabic, including but not limited to, preparing suitably challenging resources for students.

Successful applicants will:

  • Be honest, transparent and have integrity. 
  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with children in a primary school.
  • Have a good standard of written and spoken Arabic
  • Have a good standard of written and spoken English. 
  • Be talented and highly motivated
  • Be able to provide a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
  • Be professional in appearance and conduct
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school
