We wish to appoint for January 2018 an outstanding teacher for children with ASD to the Provision at Sacred Heart Primary School in Battersea. Hilary House opened in September 2012. We cater for children from ages 4-11 on the Autistic Spectrum. You will be responsible for leading a class team to plan and deliver effective learning opportunities for students within the provision as well as planning for inclusion opportunities for the students in mainstream classes.
You will be required to:
• Be an exemplary teacher with experience of working with children with ASD, with proven ability to ensure every child makes good progress across P-levels and National curriculum levels
• Have knowledge and experience with ASD approaches such as TEACCH, PECs and Makaton
• Have experience of leading a team of teaching assistants and working with a multi-disciplinary team
• Be a dedicated team member, energetic and committed to raising standards
• Have experience with SEN procedures such as annual reviews and IEP targets
• Work within and contribute to the larger school
• Be well organised, confident with strong interpersonal skills
• Support the Catholic Ethos of the school
