Primary Class Teacher, Part-Time (0.4)

The Directors of St Mary's Catholic Primary Schools Trust are seeking to appoint a part-time (0.4) teacher to work at St Mary's Catholic Junior School, Croydon from September 2024.

The successful candidate will join our friendly, supportive community and will work closely with the teacher colleagues to plan and deliver a subject area. The role is to provide release cover for PPA for two days per week.

A knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is required for planning and preparation with class teachers. QTS is a requirement. A specialism in one subject area is desirable but not essential, as a successful candidate will provide subject specific teaching to all year groups each week in one subject. Sound IT skills are desirable.

As St Mary’s is a faith school it is desirable but not essential for the successful candidate to have some knowledge of the teaching and practices of the Catholic Church. Training in this area can be provided on request.

Remuneration is dependent on the experience of the successful candidate. Teachers’ Main Scale M1-6, depending on experience. There will be a probationary period of three months.
