Job overview
Mayfair is a British International School educating children from Early Years through to Sixth Form. As a Cambridge International School, we combine the academic rigour of the British education system with the opportunities offered by a diverse international environment. Our school brings together families from more than thirty nationalities, and our vision is simple: to help every child excel and enjoy learning.
As a Primary Class Teacher, you will play a central role in learners’ academic, personal and social development. You will create a calm, purposeful learning environment in which children feel known, supported and appropriately challenged, while planning and delivering engaging, well-sequenced learning across the Primary curriculum.
The role combines high-quality classroom practice with a strong commitment to pastoral care and personal development. As the primary pastoral lead for your class, you will support learners’ wellbeing, behaviour and positive learning habits, while building strong relationships with families and working collaboratively with colleagues and our specialist language and PE teachers. You will use assessment effectively to monitor progress, adapt teaching and ensure that every learner receives the support and challenge they need to flourish.
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people and nurturing a lifelong love of learning. You should have high expectations of yourself and your learners, build positive professional relationships and be committed to reflecting on and continually developing your practice.
At Mayfair, we believe that great schools are built by great teachers, and that great teachers continue to learn throughout their careers. We foster a culture of collaboration, reflection and evidence-informed practice, supported by regular in-house CPD and professional dialogue. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the wider life of the school by engaging in professional development, school events and enrichment opportunities, and will lead one after-school enrichment club each week.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and we reserve the right to close the vacancy once a suitable candidate has been appointed.
Please download and read the attached Candidate Information Pack before applying. It provides further information about Mayfair, the role, the type of teacher we are looking for, our recruitment process and our commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Mayfair is a British International School located in Estepona on Spain’s Costa del Sol, providing education for children from Early Years through to Sixth Form. As a Cambridge International School, we combine the academic rigour of the British education system with the rich opportunities offered by an international school community.
Our vision is simple: to help every child excel and enjoy learning. We believe education should develop not only knowledge and academic success, but also confidence, curiosity, resilience and character. High expectations and strong relationships are central to our approach, and we believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued, supported and appropriately challenged.
Mayfair is a close-knit international community, bringing together students and families from more than thirty nationalities. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths, creating an environment in which young people encounter different perspectives, communicate across cultures and develop into confident and compassionate global citizens.
Our teachers work closely with students, families and one another to create a positive and purposeful learning environment. We value collaboration, open communication and mutual respect, and believe that exceptional schools are built by people working together towards a shared vision.
We are equally committed to being a school that continues to learn. Professional reflection, collaboration and evidence-informed practice are embedded within our culture, supported through regular in-house CPD and professional dialogue. We encourage teachers to remain professionally curious, engage with educational research and continually refine their practice.
Located between Estepona and Marbella, Mayfair offers the opportunity to become part of a warm and ambitious international school community while living and working on the Costa del Sol.
At Mayfair, we are more than a school. We are a community united by high expectations and a shared commitment to helping every child achieve their potential.
