A great teaching opportunity awaits you in Thailand.

RBIS Bangkok is an academically non-selective, all-age and co-educational day school located close to the heart of one of the world’s greatest cities.

Our unique character has evolved to meet the needs of the community we serve and with children at the heart of everything we do, as RBIS fast approaches the celebration of a golden jubilee, the school has had time to mature in to a very special place to learn and grow.

We welcome amazing students and educators and offer a holistic education with learning pathways from EYFS through to A level examinations and BTEC qualifications and an established record of both high academic standards and personal development.

As teachers we work with students with a strong sense of personal identity and very positive teamwork abilities. RBIS students are confident learners, they are open minded thinking about their actions and making good choices as contributors to the international community we are all part of. The international thinking of students and staff creates a diverse and exciting learning environment.

Our smaller class sizes mean more individual attention for each student and provide an ideal atmosphere for friendships to grow.

The school provides an intensive but supportive EAL programme to enable students to develop the English language skills in order to access all aspects of our broad and balanced curriculum.

What’s in our future?

Well - we hope you may be.

In the year of celebrations for our golden jubilee we are in an exciting period of our history.

New 6th Form educational developments have brought BTEC opportunities to enhance our traditional A levels option choices. Exciting investment in new facilities on both of our school sites will complement our existing city-garden environment and bring even better learning opportunities to the community.

RBIS offers a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating place to work. If you want to be part of our team you will need to be passionate about teaching and learning and knowledgeable about the factors that affect great learning.

Working at RBIS gives you all of the advantages of the fantastic environment of Bangkok city.  As a school we are at the center of what many consider to be a perfect place to live; providing a foreigner-friendly climate, a healthier lifestyle and relieving your stress. The city offers one of the world’s leading food scenes, a thriving shopping hub and a growing art scene on your doorstep and superb travel opportunities to many exciting places close by. As a top destination for people from all over the globe this is a great place to make new friends, to be welcomed by your professional colleagues in school, and by local Thai people.

As you consider a life-changing career move you may think of our city for its beautiful temples, glorious street food or vibrant culture and night life; but time spent at RBIS Bangkok is all about learning experiences, both for our students and for our teaching team. So here are some little known facts for you to share with family and friends as you discuss this exciting opportunity . . .

The name Bangkok is only used by foreigners. Locals will call the capital city of Thailand “Krung Thep” which can literally be translated as “City of Angels”. But this is still not the official name of Bangkok. This city has a tongueful name of “Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmamahasathan Amonphimanawatansathit Sakkathattiyawitsa nukamprasit” (the longest capital city name in the world!)

Don’t be surprised if you are on the streets of the city and everyone just stands up or stops walking. At 8.00 a.m. and 6 p.m. the National Anthem is the soundtrack to Bangkok. Every Thai citizen will stand and pay respect to the national Anthem.

If all of this excites you and you want to learn more then please apply to RBIS Bangkok. We would love to talk to you.
