Raha International School
History and Campus
Raha International School (RIS) opened its doors to families in its Gardens Campus in 2006 and has become one of the most sought-after schools in Abu Dhabi. In 2019, Raha announced its expansion to a second campus, the Khalifa City Campus which now functions as an independent school under the RIS brand.
The Gardens Campus is situated on 14 acres of beautifully landscaped property in the Raha Gardens development in the neighborhood of Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi. The campus features several large piazzas and wide walkways lined with palm trees, with an abundance of open space and play areas. The spacious and bright classrooms are fully equipped with the latest technology to enhance research and sharing. The Gardens Campus enrolment is currently about 2200 students from Early Years to Grade 12.
Only 7 minutes’ drive from Gardens Campus is Khalifa City Campus (KCC). Situated in the heart of Khalifa City, the state-of-the-art campus has grown to house KCC Mini’s to Grade 12. It features a purpose-built Early Years Centre with emphasis on safe, innovative and integrated collaborative learning spaces, and outstanding indoor and outdoor sporting facilities.
Raha International School – GC and KCC – are owned and operated by Taaleem, an established and renowned school operator in United Arab Emirates, and an approved IB professional development provider.
Programmes
Both Gardens Campus and Khalifa City Campus are IB continuum schools, offering IB PYP, MYP, and DP. They are now candidate schools for IB Career-related programme with plans to launch it in September 2026.
Committed to the IB ethos, our programmes feature an inquiry approach that aligns student interest with what they learn, thereby enriching their natural curiosity and promoting a love of learning. Our team of internationally experienced, skilled and passionate teachers model the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and encourage students to respect themselves, others and the world around them.
Both schools offer a wide range of DP subjects, sports programme, arts opportunities, as well as extra-curricular programme (ECP) offerings.
Accreditation
As part of Taaleem’s strategy of continuous improvement and self-evaluation, each school is required to pursue accreditation from an independent accreditation body to ensure that schools meet and maintain international standards of quality and integrity regarding academics, administration and related services.
As such, Gardens Campus and Khalifa City Campus are fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) l regulator ADEK.
The Gardens Campus was the first school in Abu Dhabi to receive full authorization to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP).
As an employer, we offer a warm, pleasant working environment with various professional development opportunities. As a successful applicant, you will become part of a highly professional, international and amicable team at Raha International School.
