All our teaching staff are expected to be fully involved in the extra-curricular life of the school.
This is an exciting time to join Beaconhouse Malaysia and we welcome applications from experienced teachers and those who are perhaps looking for an opportunity to secure their initial overseas position.
Ideal candidates will be well qualified Primary teachers with a sound knowledge and understanding of effective teaching of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum as well as the UK National Curriculum. Experience of both these education programmes would be a distinct advantage.
Beaconhouse Schools are located in a popular area of Kuala Lumpur. We offer a broad and balanced education that recognises the importance of academic success without underestimating the role that education plays in helping pupils to develop a wider understanding of themselves and others.
Our curriculum is based upon The National Curriculum for England and the Cambridge International Curriculum. External Examinations are available at Checkpoint Primary level in English, Mathematics and Science in year 6.
We invite dedicated and suitably qualified candidates to join us as a Primary Class Teacher. There is no specific specialisation required although English Mathematics or Science would be an advantage at KS2. The ideal candidate will:
· possess the ability to inspire, motivate, challenge, support and empower students in their care
· be committed to raising the standards of attainment and progress students make in KS2
· demonstrate a proven track record of raising attainment in the classroom and will ideally have successful experience of teaching across the curriculum
· demonstrate a proven track record of raising attainment at KS2 level
· be willing to contribute to wider school initiatives and the curriculum
The initial contract will be for two years renewable by negotiation on its completion.
Short listed candidates will be initially interviewed via Skype or in person depending on location.
