The Role

As Primary Librarian, you'll play a pivotal role in developing an engaging and resourceful library space where students can explore, research, and grow.

You will:

• Ensure a vibrant and engaging library environment that encourages students to read and explore.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Primary School Library, including book lending, cataloging, and resource maintenance.
• Maintain a diverse and engaging collection of books and digital resources aligned with the English National Curriculum and student interests.
• Support teachers and students by providing research guidance and educational resources.
• Promote information literacy skills and independent learning through library programs and activities.
• Foster inquiry-based learning by equipping students with essential information literacy and research skills.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a passionate and innovative librarian who:

• Has strong organisational and digital literacy skills
• Is familiar with library cataloguing systems and is able to integrate technology and digital tools into library services
• Is proactive, conscientious and able to focus on completing multiple tasks to a consistently high standard
• Continually strives for improvement
• Can work independently but is a strong team plating, willing to assist and be flexible
