                            Hospital, Cambridge

Start Date:       September2024

Hours:               0.6 across either 3 or 4 days (to be discussed at interview)

Contract:           Fixed Term (12 months)

Reports to:      Headteacher


This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join our team! We wish to appoint an exceptional and experienced primary/KS3 specialist to deliver primary teaching across the school.



Pilgrim Pathways School is an outstanding alternative provision for 4-18 year olds, which includes four centres split over two hospital sites, and an outreach service:


·      Addenbrooke’s Hospital education team provide education to children and young people across the Addenbrooke’s site aged 4-18 years old who have physical health conditions.

·      Croft Centre provides education to young people currently accessing The Croft Children and Families unit – a social, emotional and behavioural difficulties specialist unit for children aged 4-13 years old.

·      Darwin Learning Centre provides education to young people currently accessing the Darwin Centre for Young People - a Tier 4 adolescent psychiatric unit for young people from the ages of 13-17 years old with mental health difficulties.

·      Phoenix Learning Centre provides education to young people currently accessing the Phoenix Centre – a complex eating disorders specialist unit for young people from 12-18 years old.

·      The Home Treatment Team which provides a service to young people who are aged 12 -18 and their parents/carers whilst they are in the acute phase of mental illness and present with severe impairment), significant risk or high complexity where a community CAMHS provision would not be sufficient to engage the family and/ or Young Person, contain risk or progress treatment.


Pilgrim Pathways School is currently going through some exciting developments – including the planning and shaping the development of the education provision in the New Children’s Hospital at Addenbrookes and developing our outreach service.
