We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Mandarin Teacher to join our international school for the academic year 2017-18. The position is part-time ( 3 days a week) on a fixed term contract for next academic year with the possibility of switching to permanent contract.

International Community School (ICS), Primary is an independent International Baccalaureate World School located in central London (NW1 & W1H) providing a dynamic learning community for 3 to 10 year old learners. Learning at the primary school is designed to be challenging, engaging, and relevant for 21st century learning. We use an inquiry driven approach to learning where students construct, test, and revise or confirm their understanding.

Our approach to education focuses upon being an inclusive school. We have developed English language and student support programmes to allow as many children as possible to access the curriculum. Our small class sizes and high student-to-teacher ratios enable us to provide a rigorous programme for all students.

This post is ideal for a qualified teacher and has experience of teaching Mandarin in a primary school and/or the IB PYP. The successful post holder will have opportunities to; 

  • take the initiative to enhance our foreign language programme
  • work collaboratively with our Primary team of professional
  • design and implement outstanding learning opportunities for our young students
