The Prague British School (PBS) is a highly-respected and successful international school occupying one campus on each side of the Vltava River in the economically and culturally vibrant Czech capital. PBS Primary Schools are looking for an outstanding music teacher to join our thriving Music Department.  We are seeking British qualified (fluent speaker) teachers who possess significant experience in the teaching of music and who have a clear view on the importance of music education.  We welcome applications from enthusiastic, conscientious and dedicated professionals.

Starting date: Wednesday 16th August 2017

The successful candidate will be able to deliver Music to students aged 3 – 11 in an organised and creative way, in order to engage students and encourage a love of music.  Knowledge and experience working with students for whom English is an additional language, would be beneficial.

Candidates will be responsible for the ensuring the profile of music in the Primary School remains high. In addition to teaching classroom lessons and being a capable all-round musician, responsibilities will also include: running music clubs, leading Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 singing and choirs, rehearsing with our Parent Choir, assisting with primary assemblies, helping co-ordinate primary school productions and working collaboratively with the senior school music department.

About Prague British International School, Kamýk

Prague British International School is a new school formed by the merger of the English International School Prague and the Prague British School. EISP and PBS have a long history in the city, founded in 1992 and 1995 respectively, both schools provide education for Prague's local and international community, educating children aged 2-18 years using the English National Curriculum, IB Diploma Programme and IB Careers Programme.

Located on three campuses, Vlastina (Prague 6) for EYFS to Year 9, Kamyk (Prague 4) for EYFS to Year 9 and Libus (Prague 4) for Year 10 to Year 13. Each location is a purpose-built site on the outskirts of the city centre. Each site has modern classrooms, great IT facilities, sports hall and expansive sports fields.
