Job overview

We have an opportunity for an experienced qualified teacher to join us as a Primary Phase Leader, joining a friendly and supportive team in Northampton.

This is a class-based leadership position. In a new all through school you will support the current leadership solution to develop the Primary voice in the school.  This also includes responsibility for leading training effectively through excellent and carefully orchestrated provision resulting in accelerated progress.

In September NIA will be in its third year of opening as an All Through school. We will then be moving to our new accommodation. Join us at this exciting time.

What we are looking for:

  • High expectations and commitment 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work with and grow team members
  • Flexibility
  • An excellent teacher with the ability to model with evidence of good and better progress of children taught
  • Experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1 is essential. Additional experience in Key Stage 2 is desirable
  • Experience of leading a school improvement project
  • Experience of SEN may be advantageous
  • Experience of subject leadership of a core area and strong understanding of using data to accelerate progress
  • QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree
