The Primary Phase of William Hulme’s Grammar School is the most over-subscribed primary school in Manchester.  We have an excellent reputation and proven record of ensuring that all of our children attain their academic potential.  Our children experience and enjoy a creatively-rich curriculum and are equipped with the skills that will help them become responsible members of the local and global community.  

Due to the continued expansion of our school and our move to a brand new building last September, we are seeking to appoint class teachers who will be able to demonstrate that they:

• can provide engaging learning experiences that inspire and support children to become lifelong, independent learners.

William Hulme’s Grammar School is the second most over-subscribed school in Manchester and one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country. WHGS is an all-through (3-18) Academy of over 1450 pupils with a wide range of abilities, ethnicities and backgrounds.

The Academy has a relatively new Sixth Form Centre, a two-form entry Primary Phase and has specialist rooms in the Secondary Phase, including fully equipped science labs, a library, ICT resource centre, music practice rooms, design, technology and art rooms.  There is also a sports hall with changing facilities, along with full kitchen and dining facilities in the Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form.
