This is a unique opportunity for passionate, innovative and dynamic practitioners to really make a difference without the constraints of the state sector. From September 2017 Castle House School will be implementing the Cornerstones Curriculum. We have also developed a Forest School within the school grounds.

Castle House School is a small, vibrant and innovative independent prep school catering for children from the ages of 2 to 11 years. We are located in the delightful town of Newport, Shropshire. Castle House is non selective and prides itself in its commitment to discovering children’s talents and nurturing their creativity. 

We are seeking to appoint an energetic, ambitious and inspiring qualified Year 6 teacher to join our fantastic team with effect from September 2017. The role is part time (.6 of the week). The successful candidate will be highly motivated, outstanding and creative practitioner who can deliver challenging and enriching learning opportunities. The candidate must be willing to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the school and there is the possibility of an area of responsibility for the right candidate. Considerable emphasis is placed on the on-going professional development of staff and the successful candidate will be encouraged and expected to continue to develop their practice. Furthermore, the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues is essential.

The position reports to the Acting Head and the Senior Leadership Team.
