CONTRACT TERM: Fixed employment from 27th August 2018 to 30th June 2020 with possibility to extend

Little England Bilingual School is a small privately owned school in Brescia in Northern Italy (close to Lake Garda, between Verona and Milan). We provide an integrated English and Italian curriculum to approximately 200 students aged 9 months -10 years.

We are looking to recruit 3 experienced, qualified Primary School teachers to our friendly bilingual team from late August 2018.

We appreciate that moving to a new country is a big step, so we will help you to find accommodation and give you the necessary help in getting settled. Our employment package includes a competitive salary including Christmas bonus, a return UK air ticket for the start and finish of the contract including baggage
and an end of contract bonus.

The successful candidate will be joining us in our well-established, bilingual Primary school. You will be required to teach an integrated British / Italian curriculum in English to children aged 6 – 10 years old. No previous knowledge of Italian is required but the knowledge of either French or Italian would be an
advantage. Patience and flexibility is essential when working in a bilingual environment along with an understanding of living in a country with all the associated challenges. Candidates who have a Bilingual school background are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A primary school professional teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Flexibility and commitment to team work
  • Child centered learning approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good personal organisation and time management skills
  • A good sense of humour and approachability
  • An excellent record of attendance and punctuality
  • Passion, commitment and reliability
  • KS1/2 experience
  • Experience in teaching Spanish, French, art or PE a bonus
  • An up-to date DRB form (we will also require an Italian one when you arrive)

If you enjoy working with enthusiastic, respectful children who are keen to learn and a friendly committed team of teachers, we welcome your application.

Due to difficulties in obtaining residence visas, we can only consider applications from citizens of the European Community or those who have already obtained the right to be employed in Italy.

Applications must be accompanied by a covering letter, a C.V., a recent photo and names (including telephone numbers and email addresses) of two referees to the email address of Nicola Jane Scavolo: direzione@littlengland.it

Interviews will take place either in person or by Skype as soon as suitable candidates are found.
