We are looking to appoint Primary School Teacher (Grade 1) for the school year 2017-2018.
Full time position (NQTs are welcome to apply).
The work will commence from 21st of August.
Exupery International School in Latvia (Pinki) is a brand new international school that opened its doors to students in September 2016.
We have gained State accreditation for our Exupery International School General Education 9-year programme according to the national standard of the State Education Quality Service Licence for General Education Program, 18 July, 2016 No. V-8647, Riga, Accreditation Statement, 1 Match 2017, for 6 years. The school is currently in the authorisation process in International Baccalaureate (www.ibo.org) as well as in Stage 2 of the Council of International Schools authorization process. (www.cois.org/)
International educational program will require students to learn and apply interdisciplinary skills and use English as the main means of academic communication.
Three month a year, we are planning to offer our students a project-based learning model, which accommodates for individualized in-depth learning and provides challenge to each student at their proximity level.

The ideal candidate is:
- Experienced in teaching Grade 1 (6 to 7 years old children)
- Fluent English Speaker
- Certified in TESL, ESL Programmes (e.g. WIDA, SIOP)
- PYP trained
- A strong team player willing to support other colleagues
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school

Exupery International School is a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) school currently offering the Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) for preschool and primary pupils and also International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) in senior school, while the middle school focuses on preparing for the UK IGCSEs which take place in the 10th grade.
For pupils in EIS Senior school, there is a choice between two of the most famous and demanded programmes: the British Advanced Levels programme or the IB DP. In 2021 State Education Quality Service of Latvia awarded the international status to Exupery International School. The new status gives pupils of the school the opportunity to study following international educational programs in English and receive international diplomas, which are recognized in Latvia and in other countries around the world.
