PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER
Collegio San Carlo’s “Intercultural Programme” runs from K – Yr 13, branching out into five different streams of High School, catering to approximately 2000 students.
The main objective of this programme is to enrich the curriculum established by the Italian Ministry of Education by delivering 50% of the subjects in the English language, in a carefully aligned and integrated programme.
Each Intercultural class is co-taught by a team of English and Italian teachers. Subjects required to be taught by the English teachers are: English, Geography and STEAM. Specialist bilingual or mother tongue teachers also teach Art, PE and Music.
The following qualifications, experience and skills are required:
At least 3-4 years of teaching at Primary level
Bachelor’s degree in Education
Possession of a Recognized Teaching Qualification (PGCE or similar)
Recognize collegiality as a key educational value
Able to teach across all grades at the Primary level
Be English Mother Tongue
Have strong digital skills; if Apple Teacher trained, this is a plus
Knowledge of Italian is a plus
