Job overview
Tes is supporting the appointment of a Primary School Teacher to join a self-governing dependency based in Jersey, Channel Islands.
With 24 Primary Schools on an island of 45 square miles, they are able to offer an environment that is personal where their children blossom and their locations are as different as the challenges. From rural to town environments, to multi first language children and a typical class size of 27 students all their schools are unique and they would love to see if any of them match you.
With their own identities and a supportive centre, their schools have the ability to make changes that best suit the children of their community. An Island lifestyle, field trips may be to a beach, a castle or even to France and the logistics due to shorter distances are less complicated.
With great outside spaces and a warmer climate, their children have a huge range of rich learning activities on offer including woodland nature walks, surfing and kayaking.
They would love the opportunity to tell you about life on their Island and teaching their children. If Jersey has never crossed your mind, do drop them a line so they can share with you their wonderful Island life and how teaching in one of their schools maybe the perfect fit you didn’t know existed. With wide ranging opportunities from Early Years to Year 6 as well as specialist SEN roles they can accommodate all levels of experience and interests.
